In the classroom, it’s often assumed that students naturally possess the skills needed to comprehend what they read and hear, visualize concepts, and think critically. But not every student arrives with these skills fully developed. Without the capacity to create sufficient mental imagery, they may struggle—not because they lack intelligence, but because they haven’t yet developed the skills to create and sustain clear mental pictures, which are essential for learning and success.
We do this by improving the ability to create accurate mental images. Language is essential for understanding concepts. With the right support, students can improve both socially and academically. This program is ideal for students who want to excel but don’t have the necessary tools yet. By addressing the root causes—not just the symptoms—we help students unlock their potential and thrive in both school and social settings.
The entire Hands On Learning Team has been amazing! They helped Emily regain her confidence and quiet her mind so she could absorb the lessons during her sessions. The specialists have always met Emily “where she was” on any given day. This type of acceptance and nonjudgment feels like a miracle in our current world. She is currently in Middle School and earning straight A’s for her 3rd year in a row! The staff understand how my 2E child’s brain works to process information. They havehelped her believe in herself and that all things arepossible-Iam forever grateful!
